Getting to know Julie and Julia

Standard

I finally recorded and watched Julie & Julia. I loved it. 4 out of 5 stars.

It was sweet and endearing, with just the right amount of conflict for a feel-good movie.

I learned a lot about Julia Child (I hope most of it’s accurate). And it was cool to see Julia’s kitchen in the Smithsonian in the movie after seeing it for real on vacation last summer.

Everyone I’ve talked to about it said it was too bad that Julia didn’t like or want to read Julie’s blog. But I just like to think that Julia was 90 years old and too senile to really care about anything. I mean, the lady was ancient.

Julie’s story makes me want to blog more often, although I have no desire to pick up Master the Art of French Cooking or anything. I just want to keep up with my films and books.
